Our vision of the Christian faith

LeCredo

The Creed

  • We believe that God the Father sent his Only Begotten Son not to condemn the world, but for the world to be saved by ( John 3:16-17  ).

  • We believe that his Only Son is Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who was born of the virgin Mary (Myriam) conceived by the Holy Spirit according to the Will of God the Father, that He came, that He was crucified under Pontius Pilate at Mount Golgotha, that he was slain and buried for our sins. We believe that he rose again on the third day and ascended into Heaven and that he will return in the manner in which he ascended into heaven, on the day appointed and known by the Father alone. ( Luke 1:26-35  ).

  • We believe the Bible is the infallible and inspired word of God from Genesis to Revelation, that nothing need be added to it and that it is self-explanatory.( 2 Tim 3:16 _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_).

  • We believe that JESUS CHRIST having ascended into heaven, THE HOLY SPIRIT is the Comforter, the Revealer, the Teacher He sent that He is God at work on earth. Without the help of the Holy Spirit, no work of God is possible on earth. ( Mark 11:19  ;  Acts 1:8  ).

  • We believe the Holy Spirit is a person and not an abstract entity or power. It is he who comes with the power of God ( Acts 10:38  ).

The Salvation

  • We believe that God is Love, that he sent his own son to die for us so that whoever believes in him does not perish. ( John 3:16-17   ).

  • We believe that all mankind is under condemnation of sin and that salvation has come through Jesus Christ. It is by the name of JESUS that every man must be saved. -136bad5cf58d_;  1 Tim 2:5  )

  • We believe that we are saved by grace through faith, not by works so that all glory be attributed to God. It is only God who prepares the heart of man to receive Christ, we cannot force the human to receive Jesus Christ. We can just persuade him and present him with the Good News. ( Eph 2:8-9  ).

  • We believe that prayer for salvation is paramount before announcing the good news to individuals. ( 1 John 5:16  )

  • We believe that the human being is composed of spirit, soul and body ( 1 Thessalonians 5:23  ), and that salvation is a miracle of the Holy Spirit which s 'operates at the level of the mind (heart) of man, inwardly man recognizes that he is a sinner, repents of his sins and accepts Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, in order to receive eternal life. The Spirit of man becomes a new creature in Jesus Christ. This can be done in public or in private. After this miracle, the person is said to have just been BORN AGAIN. ( Jean 1:12-13  ;  Romains 8:15  ;  Jean 3:37  ;  Titus 3:5  ). And the born-again person must be instructed in the way of God in order for the salvation of the soul to take place, which is a process by which the born-again person renews his intelligence by the continual knowledge of the word of God. . The salvation of the soul therefore takes place through the renewal of the intelligence of man ( Acts 8:31  ). So we make a difference between the new birth and the salvation of the soul. ( Jacques 1:21  ,  Romains 12:2  ,  Psaume 23: 3  ,  Eph 4:23-24  ).

Water Baptism

  • We do not make water baptism a particular doctrine, baptism being a public act of confession of faith in Jesus Christ for each believer who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Through baptism, we testify that we died and rose again with Christ ( Romans 6:4  ). We do not believe that we are saved by baptism, but rather by Faith in the Living Son of God ( Romans 10:10  ,  Acts 13: 38-39  ,  1 Peter 20:21  ). But water baptism remains an important act for the Christian life.

  • Baptism is done in the Name of Jesus Christ ( Matthew 3:11  ;  Acts 2:38 _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad_0cf578d_9;5cc578d_9 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ Acts 10:48  ). Mindful of the Lord's command in Matthew 28:19 , those who have been baptized by immersion in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy One will not be persuaded to be baptized again unless it comes of their own conviction.

  • For former believers who were baptized as infants, at an age of unconsciousness to distinguish between good and evil, although having found no scriptural basis for such an act, we will accept them, pray and leave to the Holy Spirit the task of convince them for a baptism more in conformity with the holy scriptures. The main thing for us that they are first born again, it is often not surprising to see them filled with the Holy Spirit before being immersed in water for the public testimony of their faith in Jesus- Christ.

THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

  • We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, as a second experience with the Holy Spirit after the new birth, this experience is an immersion in the power of God, it allows the disciples to be powerful witnesses of Jesus Christ ( Acts 1:3-4  ;8 ), ( Acts 2:1-4   ), ( Acts 10:44-46 _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_).

  • Every believer in Jesus Christ has the Holy Spirit in him ( Romans 8:16  ;  1 John 3:24 _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_;  John 20:22  ; 1 Corinthian 12:3 ), but he who is baptized in everything is simply immersed, hence the expression d to be filled with the Holy Spirit

  • We believe that it is Jesus Christ who baptizes with the Holy Spirit, and that this promise of God can find fulfillment in the life of every believer who has truly repented ( Acts 2:38-39 _cc781905-5cde-3194 -bb3b-136bad5cf58d_; Joel 2:28 ).

SPIRITUAL GIFTS

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit manifests various gifts, various ministries, various operations. And that the manifestation of the Spirit is given for common good ( 1 Corinthians 12:4-7   )

  • We believe that gifts are useful for the advancement of the work of Christ, but also as proof for the world today that Jesus Christ continues to work through the Holy Spirit ( 1 Corinthians 14:22  ) ( Hebrews 13:8 ). The various gifts are the gift of the word of wisdom, the gift of the word of knowledge, the gift of discerning of spirits, the gift of prophecy, the gift of speaking in tongues, the gift of interpreting tongues, the gift of faith, the gift of working miracles, the gift of healing ( 1 Corinthians 12:1-11  ).

  • We believe in the manifestation and practice of all these gifts without further restrictions except those imposed by the scriptures ( 1 Corinthians 14:29  ). We promote their blossoming and encourage those to whom God is gracious to practice them with love.

  • We believe that love is not a gift of the Holy Spirit, but a way par excellence for the exercise of the different gifts ( 1 Corinthians 12:13  ;_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_ 1 Corinthians 13:1-3  ). Every believer must love, it is not an option, since love is of God ( 1 John 3:7-8  ).

  • We do not believe that gifts make a believer more Christian than others. It is true that in this case, the believer can have good spiritual knowledge compared to others, but it is by the fruit of the Spirit as quoted in  Galatians 5:22 _cc781905 -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_that we will discern the spiritual growth of such a believer.

  • We believe that the gift can be counterfeited by the enemy, and therefore it is by the prayers, by the fruit expressed by the life of the believer ( Matthew 7:17-20  ) , and by other genuine gifts such as the gift of discerning of spirits, gift of the word of knowledge we will lay bare the wiles of the enemy. In this case, the goal pursued would be to deliver the believer from all seduction through prayer and the knowledge of the truth.

  • In no way can the gifts replace the preaching and teaching of the word (The Bible, they are complementary to the word for the life of the believer and the church.

  • Daily reading and meditation of the word of God is what each believer must first do, and then aspire to the gifts ( Joshua 1:8 , 1 Timothy 4:13 ).

Ministère

THE MINISTERS

  • Ministries are the anointings (gifts) given by the Lord Jesus Christ to men for the perfecting of the saints for the work of ministry and the building up of the body of Christ. ( Ephesians 4:11-12 )

  • The various Ministries are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers (not to be confused with academic titles) ( Ephesians 4:11-12 ).

  • We believe that God set in the church primarily apostles; secondarily of the prophets, thirdly of the doctors, then those who have the gift of miracles, then those who have the gift of healing, of helping, of governing, of speaking various languages. ( 1 Corinthians 12:28 ) ( Ephesians 4:11-12 ).

  • We believe these different ministries are still exercised today and in a person can be found more than one ministry as in the past according to God's grace.

  • Thus the church has the duties to encourage, teach and equip the various ministers in the exercise of their respective ministries ( Acts 13:1-2  ).

Priere

PRAYERS

  • We believe that without prayer, God is not bound to carry out his plan for his elect ( Matthew 11:12 ). The purpose of the House of Prayer is fellowship with God through different kinds of prayer ( Ephesians 6:18 ). Perseverance in prayer will be diligently taught ( Luke 18:1   ) (see missions).

  • All kinds of prayers (requests, intercessions, supplications, thanksgiving, and praying with the spirit) are encouraged. During public prayer time, one is free to pray as the Spirit leads.

  • At the House of Prayer, the practice of prayer and singing by (with) the Spirit (in other languages) is encouraged. ( 1 Corinthians 14:14-15  ; 1 Corinthians 14:18 ), but also prayer in (in) the Spirit (praying by involving our understanding, our brain, our thought, and express it in a known tongue with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit) ( Ephesians 6:18;  Jude 20  ).

  • We believe that praying for the sick is an important part of the mission of Jesus Christ ( Matthew 10:1 ) and that God (Jehovah raphe) still heals today either by faith in the Name of Jesus Christ or by the gift of healings or miracles. According to the conviction that the Holy Spirit will give us or by invitation if possible, teams will go to pray for healing for the sick in hospitals or in homes. ( Matthew 10:1Mark 16:17-18  ;  Acts 16: 517-5c8-190 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_;  James 5:15-16  ).

  • We believe that casting out demons is part of the normal mandate of Jesus Christ to all believers ( Mark 16:17-18  ). According to the indication of the Holy Spirit or according to the necessities, there will be regularly organized collective and individual prayers of deliverance The House of Prayer. ( Matthew 10:1Mark 6:7  ;  Mark 1:32-34 0 35954-dec bb3b-136bad5cf58d_;  Marc 9:14-26  ;  Marc 1:39 _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_).

  • We also believe that after being saved, it is important for some believers to be delivered by knowing the truth of family ties (ex. Family history of idolatry, occultism, prostitution etc.) and ties acquired through any voluntary contact or involuntary with the satanic world (ex. practice of occultism, clairvoyance, …). To this end, after knowing the truth and with the help of the Holy Spirit through the gifts of revelation, including the gifts of the word of knowledge and gifts of discernment of spirits, a prayer of deliverance can be organized if this proves helpful.( Matthew 10:1Mark 1:7  ;  John 8:329 _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf580 -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_).

  • The House of Prayer does not intend to make healing and casting out demons a separate ministry from the preaching of the word. These two operations are simply the normal consequence of preaching and teaching the word of faith. It is by faith in the Name of Jesus Christ that demons are cast out, not by sight or sense ( James 1:21  ;_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_ Romans 10:8  ). So it is not surprising to see people being delivered while the word of God is being taught or sung.
